Covid-19 message to members and guests.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the closing of Beaches United Church where we hold meetings, and has by Government order restricted the number of people who may gather. More critically, it has made us all more careful of contact with others to prevent the spread of the virus.

As we approach the Fall of 2020, in person meeting might still be restricted. But we will continue to foster a community of photographers by using on line vehicles. We will move much of the speaker and demonstration sessions on line using the Zoom on line collaboration technology. Member involvement components of meetings such as contests, photo challenges and critiques will be also be done. More interactively, over Zoom as well. Instead of organized group photo outings, they will become virtual with a subject suggested, individuals will shoot on their own, and then share the images they are proudest of at the following Zoom session.

Zoom meetings would be held on the same every-second-Thursday as in person meetings were in the past. The Club will manage Zoom invitations and passwords, and send then out to members before each meeting on the same schedule as if they were in person meeting.

2021 may make in person meeting possible again, or a hybrid of in person and on line as desired. Time will tell.

Hopefully we will get through this safely.
